Real Madrid Negotiations are ongoing
With Sevilla having signed Marcos Acuna, Sergio Reguilon‘s future now looks to be in the Premier League.
Manchester United and Tottenham are the main contenders to land the left-back, who doesn’t have a place at Real Madrid due to the presence of Marcelo and Ferland Mendy.
Real Madrid would like to sell the 23-year-old, who impressed so much while on loan at Sevilla last term, but Los Blancos want to include some sort of buy-back clause in any deal.
This insistence from Real Madrid has been met with scepticism by Manchester United and this has allowed Tottenham to really enter the race.
Manchester United appeared willing to meet Real Madrid‘s asking price of 25 to 30 million euros, but are adamant that they don’t want a buy-back option in the transaction.
Negotiations between the directors at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and at Old Trafford are continuing, but alternative options are being listened to.
This is where Tottenham come in, with London now a potential landing spot for Reguilon.
