Real Madrid Just suffered yet another injury setback
Eden Hazard has suffered terribly with injuries since joining Real Madrid last summer and, just as he was ready to return and play his first minutes of the season, he suffered a fresh injury to his right leg on Wednesday.
Zinedine Zidane wouldn’t give an timeline for Hazard‘s return, but this muscular injury is estimated to keep the Belgian out for three to four weeks.
With Real Madrid to travel to take on Barcelona at the Camp Nou on the weekend of October 25, returning for this crunch fixture now becomes the aim.
In the meantime, Hazard will miss league meetings with Levante and Cadiz, as well as the UEFA Nations League ties with England and Iceland for his native Belgium and a friendly against the Ivory Coast.
With the Clasico in mind, it is hoped the forward might be able feature in the first matchday of the Champions League group stages, which is due to take place on October 20 and 21.
Competitive minutes of any kind would allow him to find some rhythm again ahead of El Clasico.
Hazard also missed both of the LaLiga Santander Clasicos last season through injury and won’t want to watch on from the sidelines again.
