Sevilla vs Barcelona Subbed off due to discomfort
Barcelona will have been delighted with their 2-0 away win over Sevilla on Saturday, however there is some concern over young midfielder Pedri who limped off in the second half.
On 70 minutes, Pedri fell to the ground and asked to be substituted due to a hefty blow to his left leg.
With the Copa del Rey semi final second leg against Sevilla coming up, Ronald Koeman will be sweating over the fitness of the youngster, who has become a key member of the team.
The positive news was that Pedri was able to witness the closing stages of the game from the bench, suggesting that it wasn’t an injury that needed immediate attention.
After the game, Barcelona’s medical team revealed a muscle problem in the lower part of his left leg. The Canarian will undergo further tests on Sunday to reveal the full extent of the injury.
