Barcelona have fallen into a bad habit of living dangerously and conceding first in games.
In two of the last three games Barcelona have started the match by conceding first, but in both cases the team has fought back to beat the likes of Valencia and Villarreal, adding vital points in the battle for the LaLiga Santander title.
In total, the Catalan giants have started slow on multiple occasions, conceding first in 14 of the 34 league games they have played so far this season. Of those 14 matches, they have won five, drawn four and lost five.
Barcelona will be hoping they do not do the same thing against their next opponents in Atletico Madrid, who are currently top of the table and are two points ahead of the Blaugrana in third.
Conceding early against Atletico could be seen as shooting yourself in the foot, as few teams defend as well as Diego Simeone‘s men.
Not conceding early has to be one of Ronald Koeman‘s priorities as both clubs come up against each other on Saturday afternoon.
In order for this not to happen, Barcelona will have to improve their concentration as they look to keep out former striker Luis Suarez, something that has been problematic for them this season.
